Awesome social/presentation night at the Maltings tonight! Well done to all the trophy winners!

Along with the league winners we dished out the most valued member, most improved member, and 'crank of the year', all voted by the members of the club.

Most valued member was rightly given to Justin Atkinson for his services to the club, most improved rider was rightly given to a rider with huge potential Cliff Williams, and crank of the year was absolutely and most definitely given to the right person 'Paul freeman'!

His exploits on an early year outing to derbyshire and yorkshire along with his ride at a prestiguos british cycling circuit racing event (his first EVER competitive event) have gained him the most highly recognized and most coveted award of 'CRANK OF THE YEAR'! Well done to all the recipients of an award! Andy codd received the newly donated 'Overton cup' for his success in the 25 mile club Time trial championship race. This was to be added to his 1st place finish in the Time trial scratch league and 1st place in the Time trial handicap league! Awesome season Andy well done!

Sunday 1st September

Well done to James Vickers who placed 6th in the last round of the Pedal Pushers 4th category circuit racing at Yarborough today. James was in contention for the win as he moved to the front of the pack and strung them all out on the bell lap, however a sudden dose of cramp on the final corner left him unable to contest the sprint. Good work also from Justin Atkinson who is pleased to have tested the 4th cat waters.
