The first batch of the new kit has been recieved by the club and has met with approval from members and members of the public alike.The quality is exceptional and i can personally vouch for the comfort of the endurance chamois/pad having just tested it on a 120 mile ride with no problems. Orders are now able to be placed with shaun for the next batch.

Mikeoverton raced in the Scunthorpe RC open 25 mile TT Today (June 5th). He posted a time of 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Good turnout on todays club run with 11 riders taking part. Good to see some new faces along.
Membership of the club continues to grow with three new members joining over the last week or so. A big welcome to Martyn Spencer,Trev Guilliatt and Mark Leeson.
The 2 up time trial on 2nd June was won by visiting riders Steve Grocock and Steve lormor of LINCSQUAD with a time of 22:28. A big thank you to all the LINCSQUAD riders for their continued support of the tt events.
Last weeks Trent Valley Road Club evening time trial,held on the 12th of May,was a 17 mile event using the TV17/1 course for the very first time. The course started close to the entrance to Croft farm on Laughton road before heading through Laughton forest to the T junction just before Laughton village.Upon turning left here the route continued on to Susworth before turning left to pick up the riverside road back to walkerith whereupon another left turn brought the riders onto Laughton lane and back to the starting point.
Ten riders took part and club fastman Andy Lewin was once again on good form beating nearest rival Paul Brownless by almost Two and a quarter minutes.

Thursday 5th May saw 8 riders take part in the Trent Valley Road Club's 15 mile evening time trial. This took place on course GA15/1 which ttook an outward route to Susworth via Laughton forest before heading back down the trentside road and returning to the starting point near croft farm on Laughton Road. Andy Lewin was fastest club rider on the night, however visiting rider Steve Grocock ( Team Lincsquad ) was fastest man on the night with a phenomanal time of 34:39.
Results: 1st Andy Lewin 37:10, 2nd Simon Hobday 39:02, 3rd Ian Ferraby 39:37, 4th Shaun and Julie Pycroft (tandem) 40:35, 5th Mike Overton 44:13, 6th Simon Carter 44:57. Private trial - Steve Grocock (Team Lincsquad) 34:39.
Lincoln Grand Prix Sportive
On Saturday 7th May, 3 Trent Valley RC riders took part in the Lincoln Grand Prix Sportive event. All 3 riders had opted for the longer 93 mile route which took them from Lincoln out onto the Wolds taking in some very hilly and picturesque scenery before returning to Lincoln for a finishing climb up the cobbled Michaelgate. Andy Lewin and Paul Brownless completed this event in 5 hours and 11 minutes which placed them both in the top 30 out of 500 entrants. Mike Overton suffered a double puncture but went on to complete the course in 7 hours and 15 minutes. A special mention goes out to Mike's grandson James Stainton who despite being only 16 completed the 93 mile route in 5 hours and 42 minutes and being the second placed 16 year old.
Over the last week members of Trent Valley Road Club have beet in action at various events across the county.
On April 27th club chairman Shaun Pycroft took part in his first ever road race at Long Bennington. The event was organized by Newark Castle CC as part of the TLI Lincolnshire road race league.From a field of 75 riders Shaun placed a credible 15th. On April 28th the TVRC held the 4th round of their regular evening time trial series. The 10 mile event started from laughton lane and progressed towards laughton taking the left turn just before the village. The riders then progressed through the forest before taking another left turn to head into East ferry.From here another left was taken and the riverside road was followed until turning left yet again just before East Stockwith.From this point the riders followed Carr lane to the finish line further down the road. The north easterly breeze made for some fast sections particularly along the trentside with a few of the riders posting personal best times.
Members of the Trent Valley Road Club have been in action recently in both sportive and Time Trial events.
On Saturday 10th April TVRC member Justin Atkinson rode the "Peterborough 100" cyclo sportive event organised by and in aid of Action Medical Research.Having only taken up cycling in july 2010 this was quite an achievement for Justin who completed the 100 mile event in 7hrs and 26 minutes.
The following Thursday the club held the second event of their evening time trial series.This 8 mile time trial was held on the GA 8/1 course in laughton forest and took place in fine conditions.The previous round's winner,Andy Lewin continued his run of good form and was once again the fastest man on the night with a time of 20 minutes 25 seconds.
Results: 1st Andy lewin 20:26, 2nd Paul Brownless 22:22, 3rd Shaun Pycroft 22:49, 4th Mike Overton 24:34, =5th Simon Carter and Clare Johnson 25:45, 7th Gemma Wright 27:33, 8th Rebecca Allen 28.00 .
Sunday 17th April saw 5 members undertake the annual LRRA Middlemarkers 25 mile time trial held near Saxilby.Once again Andy Lewin was the fastest TVRC rider putting down a time of 1:02:31 Other members times were : Shaun Pycroft 1:07:03, Rebecca Allen 1:10:12, Mike Overton 1:13:02. Unfortunately Paul Brownless punctured at around 20 miles and did not finish.
